JAMB announces the 2023 UTME results

The results of the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which was held between Tuesday, April 25, and Monday, May 1, have been made public by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the board's Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, revealed this in a statement made accessible to journalists in Abuja on Tuesday.

In all, 1,595,779 candidates had registered to take the test at 708 Computer Based Test (CBT) centers in 105 test cities around the nation, according to Benjamin.

He said that applicants whose exams were postponed till Saturday, May 6, as well as those who were missing, were not included in the results.

In addition to candidates who were rejected, he mentioned candidates who were visually handicapped and said their results were being processed.

The candidate only needs to text UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number they used to register in order to verify their results, which will be returned as a text message.

"It should be emphasized that the candidates' status was returned when they examined the results after they were released.

"For example, the response would be: YOU WERE ABSENT, RESCHEDULED, OR UNDER INVESTIGATION with regard to candidates who were absent, rescheduled, or under investigation.

Therefore, only applicants who do not fall into any of these categories would receive a result, he explained.

For the sake of clarification, he said, rescheduling candidates included those who hadn't validated their identity and those who were at the lovely CBT center in Apo

Others, according to him, included applicants who had their exam date changed but were unable to get notification, those with restricted capacity, and those whose data did not match.

He asked candidates in these categories to print their slips by the deadlines of May 4 and 5, so they would be aware of the time and location of their exam.

Candidates should be aware that they will be gathered in a single area within their respective states to take the exam.

Therefore, in order to prepare adequately for their examination, they must print their notification slips by Thursday, May 4 at the latest.
