Just In: Busquets talks Cristiano Ronaldo, Xavi, expiring contract ahead of Real Madrid clash

Barcelona will seek revenge as they take on Real Madrid in the second El Clasico of the season.  The occasion is even more momentous as it is the final of the Spanish Super Cup.

Los Blancos will be hoping to defend their title, as Xavi goes in the hunt for his first trophy with the Blaugranes

Ahead of the game, Sergio Busquets spoke to the media as part of his pre-game press conference.  The captain made his 700th appearance in the semi-finals against Real Betis, and will be hoping for one of his last titles in a Catalan shirt.

On the game: “The match against Real Madrid?  It will be a different game to the semi-final, two different teams with different styles, we know Real Madrid and they will be ready and we have to be careful with counter-attacks... We want to control the game.”

"A team like Madrid can cause you problems at any moment of the game.  Winning the championship will give us extra motivation and we have to remain optimistic."

On his contract: "My contract expiring at the end of the season?  I haven't decided my future and I don't know when I'll decide.  Tomorrow's match is more important right now."

On his 700th game: “700 games played?  I am very happy, it is an important number, a dream, every player dreams of reaching this number.  I'm proud and happy to be at the best club in the world, the club of my life... There is no better way to celebrate than winning tomorrow

On the importance of tomorrow's game: "Beating Real Madrid is important for us.  Reaching the final and winning it is important for us.  We have several new players and young players.  When you win titles, it's important.  We want to win.”

"As I said it's been a long time since we won a title... We are extra motivated to continue on the path, and that's what the team deserves."

On Barcelona's hunger: "Do I believe that Barça are hungrier than Real Madrid right now?  I think both teams are hungry.  I think both teams want to win the title.”

On Xavi's anger against Betis: "Did Xavi get angry with the players during the extra time against Betis?  There are moments in matches when it's important to control our mentality.

On the post-Busquets era: "I don't like to talk about myself too much, I always try to do my best and help everyone, I try to help in all circumstances off and on the pitch.  I try to be a normal person.”

On Cristiano Ronaldo: “Cristiano Ronaldo signing for Al-Nassr?  He will bring quality to the Saudi Arabian league.  I wish Ronaldo and his new team all the best.”
