Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard said he would love to win the Premier League title this season

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard acknowledged his dream of winning the Premier League title this season.

Mikel Arteta's men are currently at the top of the Premier League standings with a lead of eight points over Manchester City, The Gunners' final outing took place on Sunday afternoon, beating Crystal Palace 4-1 at Emirates Stadium in what was an extremely compelling demonstration from the league's leaders. Even if the Citizens have a hand in their competition.

Now midfielder Odegaard has opened up the possibility of raising the league title in May, revealing that this has been his goal since he was young. When asked by talkSPORT whether he dreamed of ending the drought of the club's 19-year-old title, the Norwegian international responded: "Yes, you can still dream!

It's been my dream for as long as I've been a baby, so of course you can dream. But the key is to remain calm, keep working hard and keep growing every day to make sure we're getting better every day."

The former leader of Real Madrid said: "I think everybody likes it, we're where we want to be.  We need to take advantage of this.

We are in a good position, so we want to take advantage of that, and the connection with the fans, within the team, everybody is so together now. We must therefore continue on the same path and exert pressure on a daily basis to improve and stay where we are."
