After Man City's elimination from the league, Gundogan tells Guardiola, "I will never forget

After departing for Barcelona, Ilkay Gundogan delivered a farewell letter to Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City.

Both teams announced the 32-year-old's departure on Monday morning.

Gundogan leaves the Etihad after seven years and joins the LaLiga giants.

The German midfielder won the Triple under Guardiola in his final season with City, and he has since expressed his gratitude for the manager.

Being a member of Man City for the past seven years has been an absolute honour and pleasure. Pep, I'd like to thank you.

I'll never forget the opportunity I had to work with and learn from him for such a long time.

"I also want to express my gratitude to all of my team members, both past and present, who have contributed greatly to the incredible experience I have had throughout my time here. Also amazing City supporters. I owe each of them so much for their assistance. City will always be a part of me. "A blue is a blue is a blue," Gundogan remarked
