Following inquiries from European giants, Barcelona is not interested in moving their star midfielder this summer

Barcelona enjoyed a successful 2022–2023 season. In Xavi Hernandez's first season in charge, they added the Spanish Super Cup to their first LaLiga championship in four years.

Frenkie De Jong was a key player in their triumph. The Dutchman had a fantastic season and significantly improved upon his prior performance levels. Although Barcelona was willing to trade him, if he had chosen to sign with Manchester United last summer, everything may have been quite different.

The news that De Jong is regarded as "non-transferable" this summer indicates that the Blaugrana do not intend to repeat their error. It follows Bayern Munich's alleged interest in hiring him, with Thomas Tuchel a potential candidate.

the Dutch international has a lot of fans.

It's easy to understand why De Jong is so highly regarded at Barcelona, and now that Sergio Busquets is gone, he probably has to shoulder more of the midfield load. It should be vitally crucial to keep him.
