After going scoreless in their season opener in Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain has already scored their first goal of 2023–24. When Kylian Mbappé, 24, dribbled inside the box, it resulted in a foul.

Mbappé initiated the opportunity for the penalty kick and then took the shot. The victor of the 2018 FIFA World Cup confidently put the shot away to give PSG a 1-0 lead and put them in position to earn three points.

It is only fitting that the Frenchman scores in the first match in which he serves as the focal point of the capital club's project.
