In just a few hours, Barcelona and Shakhtar Donetsk will square off in their third UEFA Champions League match of the year.
Hector Fort and Marc Guiu, two youthful stars, have been successfully included to the Catalans' Champions League squad list before of the game.
Marc Guiu's week of celebration
On Sunday night, Marc Guiu made his Barcelona first-team debut by substituting in for Athletic Club.
The 17-year-old striker at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys scored the game's lone goal just seconds after entering the field, turning it into a victory.
Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha were still not fully recovered from their injuries, thus Barça had an undermanned assault coming into their match against Shakhtar tonight.
Since clubs are permitted to add homegrown youth players to the roster as part of List B up until the day before a game, the Blaugrana had been working to add Guiu's name to the squad list in time for the match.
Guiu has finally been added to the roster and is available to play against Shakhtar tonight after not being named in the Champions League squad at first.
Hector Fort is also added to the list.
Hector Fort, 17, was called up to the first team roster for the first time during the match against Athletic Club last week.
Due to injury, both Jules Kounde and Sergi Roberto are out, therefore the youthful right-back was called in as a right-back cover.
As a result, like Guiu, he has also been added to the Champions League roster as a member of List B.
Since Xavi has already called up both players for tonight's match, it would be fascinating to see if they play against Shakhtar now that their registrations have been completed.
